What the site does
Osmopark lists 12,526 car parks in 894 cities in 3 countries: Spain, United Kingdom and Netherlands. For each one you get its exact location, whether it is free or paid when our sources say so, the rates when they are published, and a button that starts directions to the car park itself.
There is no account to create and no app to install. The site is available in Español, English, Deutsch, Italiano and Nederlands, and every car park has its page in each of these languages.
Where the data comes from
We do not produce any figures ourselves. Everything comes from public or official sources, listed below by country.
Spain
- Ayuntamiento de Madrid, Ajuntament de Barcelona, B:SM, Ajuntament de València, Ayuntamiento de Pamplona, Open Data Euskadi Official open data from city councils: list of public car parks, number of spaces and, when published, rates and opening hours.
- Aena Airport car parks and the rates published on the airport websites.
- Saba, Indigo, Interparking, Telpark, Masaveu Aparcamientos, IFEMA MADRID, Comunidad de Madrid Rates and opening hours of some car parks, read on the official website of the operator, the hospital or the venue; the source URL is kept on the fiche so it can be checked.
- CRTM, Renfe, Mobility Database (GTFS) Official public transport timetables: stations and lines near each car park.
- OpenStreetMap, Geofabrik Car parks missing from official data, and landmarks, hospitals and stadiums near each car park.
- Nominatim To identify each town and the region it belongs to.
- Wikidata The centre of each town and the list of towns covered.
United Kingdom
- OpenStreetMap Car parks and their details, as mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence).
- Nominatim To locate the city centre.
Netherlands
- RDW (Nationaal Parkeer Register) The official national parking register: car parks, number of spaces and, when published, rates and opening hours.
- PDOK Locatieserver Official addresses, and the location of an entrance when only its address is known.
- OVapi (NDOV), GTFS National public transport timetables: stations and lines near each car park.
- RIVM, VZinfo.nl The official list of hospital locations.
- Wikidata The location of stadiums, venues and tourist sites.
- OpenStreetMap, Geofabrik Car parks missing from official data, and landmarks, hospitals and stadiums near each car park.
Each car park page shows its source and the date the data was retrieved.
What we refuse to do
These rules are written into our code and applied automatically, not just stated on this page.
- Never a made-up figure. A number of spaces, a rate or a height limit that we do not know stays empty. A missing field is honest information; a wrong one is not.
- No guesswork. When a price is not published, we do not work it out from a nearby car park. When our sources do not say whether a car park is free or paid, we say so.
- No data produced by artificial intelligence. Figures come from open data or official sources. Complementary tariffs are read on the operator's official website, and the source URL is kept on the fiche so it can be checked. AI never produces a figure or a data point: it is only used to translate the interface texts.
- No invented location. Coordinates come from official data or OpenStreetMap, never from a guess.
- One page per real car park. A car park has one page and only one. Theme pages group existing pages, they do not copy them.
- A height limit is not a permission. A generous clearance does not mean motorhomes are allowed: that is up to the operator or the local council.
