Road access can be filtered
The SP 227 traffic order covers 14 March to 1 November 2026. Local police may filter traffic when vehicles queue for parking at Portofino or Paraggi, at Cervara during the day and closer to Portofino at night. This is a congestion measure, not a permanent road closure. A route to a car park does not guarantee immediate access.
Leave the car at Santa Margherita Ligure
From Santa Margherita FS, AMT bus 782 continues to Portofino. The summer service page lists a dedicated €5 single ticket; check the applicable timetable and ticket conditions for your date. Boats also link Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, subject to the sailing schedule and sea conditions.
Parking in the village
Portofino Mare identifies the municipal car park at Piazza della Libertà 13B. Its tariff page refers to an older price list, so no current hourly price is confirmed here. Check the entrance display before leaving the vehicle; the mapped car parks do not show live availability.
