Roma: good to know before you park
Roma’s central ZTLs restrict access to authorised vehicles during their operating hours. The Centro Storico daytime zone operates from 6:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and from 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, excluding public holidays.
Trastevere has a different daytime restriction, from 6:30 to 10:00 Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays, as well as a separate night-time zone. Check the zone for your destination and arrival time before choosing an approach to a garage.
Rules for electric and hydrogen vehicles changed in July 2026. Consult Roma Mobilità’s current eligibility and permit instructions instead of assuming that an electric car can enter every restricted street.
