Eindhoven: good to know before you park
Paid parking inside the Ring
In Eindhoven you pay to park on the street throughout the area inside the Ring, and at a few places outside it, such as the airport and the Woensel shopping centre. Charges apply from 9:00 to 21:00 every day, Sundays and public holidays included. The 2026 rates per 60 minutes are €4.50 in the city centre, plus a €0.30 start fee, €4.50 at Strijp-S, €2.55 in the rest of the area inside the Ring and €2.10 outside it. A few locations use other rates with a daily maximum.
Number plate, card or app
Street meters accept only debit or credit cards: you type in your number plate and get no ticket to leave behind the windscreen. Cash is accepted only in the city centre car parks. Parking apps charge by the minute plus a transaction fee that varies by provider. A scan car checks plates throughout the paying hours, and the fine arrives by post: usually one hour of parking plus costs of up to €57.60. You have 6 weeks to object.
P+R Genneper Parken, from the south
Coming from the south, leave the N2 ring road at exit 33 for P+R Genneper Parken, Aalsterweg 316. It is open around the clock, also during events, and costs €1.50 per hour or part of an hour, up to €4 per 24 hours. At the pay machine you can buy a return bus ticket to the centre for €0.50 per person, for up to 5 people; it is only valid with your parking ticket. Lines 7, 317, 318 and 408 reach the centre in about 10 minutes. Maximum height is 2.20 m, and motorbikes, caravans, trailers, motorhomes and coaches are not allowed.
P+R Meerhoven, from Den Bosch and Tilburg
Arriving on the A2 from Den Bosch or the A58 from Tilburg, use P+R Meerhoven, Sliffertsestraat 304, right beside the N2. It never closes: €1.50 for the first hour, a maximum of €4 for the first 24 hours, then €5 per day from the second day. The €0.50 return bus ticket per person, for up to 5 people, is sold at the kiosk and valid to the centre on lines 401, 402 and 403. There are 10 places for motorhomes, where overnight stays are allowed.
Milieuzone for diesel cars from 2027
From 1 January 2027, diesel cars in emission class 4 or lower may no longer drive inside the Ring. Cameras read number plates and the automatic fine for a car is €130, plus administration costs. If you only need to enter now and then, you can apply for a day exemption, up to 12 times per calendar year for each vehicle. Vehicles first registered 40 or more years ago are exempt.
PSV match days
On match days the PSV-laan, on the north side of the Philips Stadion, is closed to cars, scooters and mopeds between the Vonderweg and the De Jonghlaan. The stadium car park, P Philips Stadion, can only be reached via the Anton Philipslaan.
