Riomaggiore and Manarola: check access before driving
Both villages belong to the municipality of Riomaggiore, with restricted traffic and pedestrian areas. An accommodation booking is not in itself a vehicle access permit. Confirm any exemption with the accommodation and local police before passing a restricted entrance.
Riomaggiore: Rio Park above the village
The municipal-linked visitor portal places Rio Park in the upper village, with the final stretch to the centre on foot. It reports no advance booking and a vehicle height strictly below 1.95 m. Confirm the entrance restriction for your vehicle; no campervan permission is implied.
Manarola: Posella and Acquarino
ATC lists these parking areas as open around the clock. Its published charges are €3 per hour and €20 for one day from 1 April to 31 October, then €1.50 per hour and €15 for one day from 1 November to 31 March. Longer-stay prices are listed separately. Continue into Manarola on foot; do not follow a village-centre driving route through a restricted area.
An alternative from either end of the railway
For visiting several villages, consider parking in La Spezia or Levanto and taking the train. Check the chosen departures and the return journey rather than assuming a fixed frequency throughout the day.
